We are very excited to announce that the first WordCamp Osnabrück will be taking place March 23-24, 2019 at OsnabrückHalle. The idea to host a WordCamp in Osnabrück first came up in 2014 during a Münster/Osnabrück WordPress Meetup – and now it’s finally happening!
Osnabrück is a perfect place to host a WordCamp as it can be reached in less than 2 hours from many cities such as Dortmund, Essen, Duisburg, Münster, Bielefeld, Hannover, Oldenburg and Bremen. Even Cologne, Hamburg and Amsterdam are only a 2.5 hour drive away.
WordCamp Osnabrück will be a BarCamp, so we are looking forward to 200 WordPress enthusiasts full of ideas and interesting topics to share. The BarCamp style means: On both days of the event, anyone who would like to share their knowledge or lead a discussion can pitch a session. If enough people are interested in a proposed topic, the speaker will get a time slot.
In addition to the BarCamp sessions (45 minutes) on Saturday and Sunday, there will be longer workshop slots available that you can apply for in advance. On Sunday, you will also get the chance to contribute to WordPress. Also, make sure you stay the night because you don’t want to miss the afterparty on Saturday!
