WordCamp Auckland returns 2-3 November

WordCamp Auckland 2019 is happening at the GridAKL John Lysaght Building in the heart of New Zealand’s Auckland City on 2 – 3 November. WordCamp Auckland has two days of speakers with an intimately small capacity, making it a relaxed and close-up WordCamp.

We only have space for 80 tickets. Click here to get your ticket.

Something truly unique

There is something unique to WordCamp Auckland, that is a traditional Māori hāngī meal prepared deep in an earth oven from West Auckland and brought to our venue for lunch on Saturday, so attendees will get to experience something truly unique.

New Zealand will be in full hype mode with the Rugby World Cup final playing that weekend, so the venue and after party are situation in Victoria Park Market, just a 10 minute walk for attendees to take part in all the action Auckland City nightlife will put on.

Our speakers and attendees come from all across New Zealand and even the New Zealand’s West most island of Australia. Bringing with them a range of world views, topics and experience to share with all of us at WordCamp Auckland.

After party @ Tom Toms Victoria Park Market

Tom-Tom’s rooftop restaurant may be familiar to attendees from WCAKL17, but being nice and close to the WordCamp, means those who can make it – can spend a few hours leisurely seeing Auckland downtown after Day one and rejoin us for food, drinks and conversations.

Topics and talks

Our topics this year range from Becoming an Open Source contributor, Block editors and Hosting with a couple of panel discussions thrown in for good measure. View the full schedule here.

Our day two schedule is designed to be a little more relaxed, and allow an early close to allow everyone to enjoy their Sunday afternoon.

Nomnoms or eats

We’ve already mentioned a traditional Mãori hāngī will be Saturday’s lunch, but Sunday will be catered by local Italian Pizzeria Toto’s, who serve pizza by the metre – homemade baked eats will keep us nourished during the morning and afternoon tea breaks, supplied by Hearts Content in Coatesville.

We’re only missing you…

Can’t make it? Share the word

If you know anyone interested in WordPress, who might be interested – please share this post with them, we’d love to share #WCAKL19 with as many people as we can, we think it’s truly a special event.
