WordCamp Bristol is looking for Sponsors

This is the second WordCamp Bristol, and it’s growing.  Actually, it’s doubling in size.

Bristol is a fantastic city for tech in general and for WordPress in particular.  Many people consider Bristol as the most exciting city in the UK outside of London for tech.

A few facts about the Bristol tech scene:

  • Local WordPress MeetUp has over 800 members
  • Bristol held the first do_action day in Europe, as lauded by Matt Mullenweg in State of the Word 2018
  • Named 6th best tech city across Europe, Middle East and Africa
  • Bristol ranked as the number 1 region for tech start ups in the UK

At the moment sponsorship packages are going quickly.  Fortunately we still have a few left.  In particular we are hoping to find companies with green credentials; that would make us very happy.  We love to promote sustainability.  However, any company which works with WordPress is welcome.

WordCamp London is seeking speakers

London is one of the world’s great capitals and we are looking for great speakers to be part of this year’s WordCamp. Join us on 6 & 7 April 2019.

Do you have insights, experience, specialisms or WordPress-orientated stories you can share? We are looking for up to 50 speakers to present sessions in a variety of formats. These could be in the form of short-talks, long-talks, workshops or panels. If you have a hot topic and the flair to present it to a large audience, fill in the speaker application for WordCamp London 2019. The event will start with a Contributor Day on Friday 5 April, to which you would be equally welcome to attend.

Selecting topics

The WordPress ecosystem and community are engaged in such a variety of areas, from designing, content writing and project management to developing features and functionality. We are interested in all of these and more!

We want to hear about your experience in growing a WordPress orientated business, but also how you have encountered failures in development and any lessons learnt from them. By working together and sharing skills, we can strengthen the WordPress global project and encourage innovation and create opportunities for more people.

This year we have a special focus on accessibility and sustainability. Any sessions which incorporate these themes will be very welcome.
