WordCamp Miami 2019: Looking For Speakers And Sponsors!

WordCamp Miami

The 11th WordCamp Miami is happening March 15-17, 2019 at Florida International University. That means we are currently looking for speakers who want to get on stage and share their knowledge, and sponsors that can help make this event the best one in South Florida yet!

Miami is known for it’s warm sunshine and beaches (especially in February!) but also for it’s diverse population… therefore we are looking for a great and diverse speaker submission pool to reflect our local community. Both new and experienced WordCamp speakers are welcome to apply. If you’d like to propose multiple topics, please submit the form multiple times, once for each topic. WordCamp Miami is also the home of one of the largest Kid’s Camps, Learn JavaScript Deeply tracks, numerous workshops, and BuddyCamp – we can’t wait to share with you some exciting additions and tweaks to our lineup this year!

Our deadline to submit proposals is Midnight EST on Sunday January 13th, 2019. Apply at https://2019.miami.wordcamp.org/speaker-submissions/

WordCamp Miami is also looking for sponsors that can help with expenses. We are one of the larger events in the United States, with 1000 people attending last year! Be a part of the fun and help us with bringing a great experience in terms of food, networking opportunities, and some fun contests!

Add WordCamp Miami to your calendar and we look forward to seeing you!

WordCamp Nordic is looking for speakers and volunteers

The first ever WordCamp Nordic will be held in Helsinki, Finland. The main event will take place on March 8th. All the sessions will be conducted in English.

We are looking for speakers to share their knowledge, expertise, experience, and stories as well as volunteers to make the event possible.

Apply to speak

WordCamp Nordic will have two tracks and session formats. Long talks are 40 minutes in total, broken down to around 30 mins for the talk & 10 mins for questions. We’ll also have lightning talks, 15 minutes each.

We welcome a diverse lineup of talented speakers to provide value to our broad audience. We are of course looking for different topics and inspirational stories. The Call for Speakers will be open until January 7th — make sure that you send in your application in time.

Read more about speaking at first WordCamp Nordic and send your application here!

Volunteers make the event possible

WordCamps are only possible thanks to the kind people who volunteer to make it happen. Volunteering is a great way to contribute to WordPress and to get an inside view in case you are considering organising a similar event in the future.

As a volunteer, you will receive a free ticket, an exclusive t-shirt for volunteers, and an invitation to the volunteers dinner. Volunteers are not expected to work the whole day; we want you to be able to enjoy some of the talks too!

Apply to volunteer at first WordCamp Nordic here!

Seeking Sponsorships: WordCamp Jacksonville 2019

Demographics of WCJAX*

The 4th Annual WordCamp Jacksonville (WCJax) is part of an international group of not-for-profit conferences dedicated to making WordPress education accessible to all individuals. Every WordCamp speaker, organizer, and volunteer is donating their time to educate others about WordPress.

WordCamp Cologne 2018 takes place in October

WordCamp Cologne 2017 was almost a year ago and the Cologne WordPressers miss the community. That’s why it’s time for WordCamp Cologne 2018.

This year somewhat shorter, and than BarCamp, 250 WordPress enthusiasts will meet on 20 October 2018 at the HMKW Cologne to exchange knowledge followed by a networking party. And for those who aren’t satisfied yet, there will be the Contributor Day on Sunday, 21 October 2018.

On Saturday we have room for 28 sessions in 4 rooms. One session is 45 minutes long, including questions and answers. And as usual with a BarCamp, you are asked here after the introduction round to offer your sessions.

The sessions will be proposed on the day of the event. Anyone can suggest a session on a topic that interests them. This can be a lecture, a discussion, or a workshop. The sessions with the most interested people get a slot, i.e. time and space. This ensures that what you are interested in really works. And we are sure that there will be interesting topics for everyone – from beginners to professionals.

The first tickets have already been sold, so you should get your tickets quickly, because we only have a limited number of seats available! You can find out everything else on the website of WordCamp Cologne 2018.

P.S.: To make such an event possible, we need volunteers and sponsors.
