WordCamp Europe 2018 early bird tickets on sale; speaker applications also open

WordCamp Europe has released the first 1000 early bird tickets that you can buy until December 31st. By doing so, you are also eligible for a special, limited-edition swag item that organizers are preparing for everyone who gets their tickets early (meaning this year;)).

Buying a ticket will get you entry for the two conference days (June 15-16), lunch, coffee and snacks for both days, our yearly collectable event t-shirt, access to the After Party and entrance to Contributor Day on June 14. Keep in mind that Contributor Day registrations will open separately at a later date.

Speaker applications opened on November 15th and will stay open until January 15th, 2018. You can apply with long talks (40 minutes) or lightning talks (10 minutes) format with a topic that is related to WordPress and beyond.

Full list of topics can be found on the Talk Submissions website and they range from development, over building websites with WordPress, design, business, content, and work – or anything else that isn’t mentioned in the list but you feel strongly about talking about.

In addition to Call for speakers, organizers will also be looking for people to host community workshops. Call for workshops should open this week (Wednesday 22nd) so we recommend subscribing to WordCamp Europe’s newsletter (scroll to the bottom of their web page) to receive news updates.

WordCamp Riverside 2017, Our Debut WordCamp!

The WordPress Ecosystem of Southern California is one that flourishes and abounds with meetup groups, gatherings & WordCamps.   From Los Angeles to San Diego to Orange County, there really isn’t any need for another WordCamp or is there?

The void in the Southern California WordPress ecosystem is that there has never been a WordCamp in the Inland Empire.  The page on that story officially turns November 4 & 5 as with WordCamp Riverside 2017!

Our Inland Empire WordPress Meetup group has been meeting since 2012 and now in 2017 we have our first official WordCamp.  WordCamp Riverside 2017 is the Inland Empire’s WordCamp!

Countdown: just 2 weeks until WordCamp Bristol

We are just a fortnight away from the inaugural WordCamp Bristol!

Join us on 13-14 May 2017 at the Watershed on Bristol Harbourside to enjoy a weekend of insightful talks and networking with friendly WordPress users, developers and designers from across the UK and all over the world.

Tickets are selling fast and we only have a handful left. We recommend you reserve yours today to avoid disappointment – we expect to sell out! Find out who else will be attending here.

Our speakers are listed online and the schedule is now available. Talks cover practical and technical advice, business insight, content writing, and valuable experience from the WordPress community. On each day of the two day event, there are two parallel streams of topics for you to choose between. You can learn more about the talks by visiting our sessions page.

During the event, you can also visit the exhibition to meet our generous sponsors. Their support has helped to make WordCamp Bristol a reality because we were able to keep the ticket price low and ensure the event remained inclusive and accessible for all.

Thanks to our awesome volunteer team, we are setting up a Happiness Bar. This is a place for any WordPress related questions or queries, however simple or complex. Attendees are also welcome to join in and provide support, review code and give back to the community.
