WordCamp Kampala 2026, organized by the WordPress Kampala Meetup, takes place on May 23–24, 2026 at The Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) on Bombo Road. This year’s theme, “Tech for Social Good,” focuses on how the WordPress ecosystem can drive inclusion, mentorship, and meaningful social impact in an increasingly AI-influenced digital landscape.
The event will bring together developers, designers, agencies, Business owners, and digital professionals from across the region. Conversations will center on, but not limited to building sustainable solutions, improving accessibility, and leveraging WordPress alongside emerging technologies to address real-world challenges.
A key highlight is the DoAction initiative, where attendees will collaborate to build websites for schools and institutions serving learners with disabilities. This hands-on project emphasizes accessibility, skills transfer, and community impact beyond the event itself.
