About Junko Nukaga
Based on the small island of Ogijima in Japan's Seto Inland Sea, I work at the intersection of open source, community building, culture, and technology.
Within WordPress, I'm a Program Manager for the Community Team, a Locale Manager for the Japanese locale, and the Lead Organizer of WordCamp Asia 2027. I also chair Ogijima Library, a community space and cultural organization.
Outside WordPress, I work as a designer, photographer, and writer, documenting island life and exploring how digital tools can support small communities.
