About

WordPress Campus Connect: Central and Eastern Uganda Schools is a student-focused outreach program designed to introduce learners to WordPress, open source, web development, digital publishing, and online creativity.

The program will bring practical WordPress learning sessions to selected schools and universities across Central and Eastern Uganda. Students will be introduced to the basics of WordPress, how websites are built, how to create and publish content, and how they can use WordPress for school projects, personal portfolios, blogs, business ideas, and future technology careers.

The event will also connect students and teachers to the wider WordPress community through local meetups, contributor activities, mentorship, and future WordCamp participation. Our goal is to help young people build digital confidence, discover opportunities in open source, and become active members of the WordPress ecosystem in Uganda.
