The WordPress in Education Showcase Luweero 2026 is the second edition of a community-driven event that celebrates how WordPress is transforming teaching, learning, and digital innovation in educational institutions. The first edition was successfully organized by the Masaka WordPress Meetup in 2024, laying the foundation for a growing movement that encourages schools to embrace open-source technologies for education.
This year’s edition is proudly organized by the Luweero WordPress Meetup in partnership with educational institutions across Luweero Diocese. Schools, and tertiary institutions from Luweero and beyond are warmly invited to participate by showcasing WordPress-powered projects that demonstrate creativity, innovation, and real-world impact.
Every submitted project will receive constructive feedback and support from experienced members of the WordPress community. Outstanding projects will be recognized during the event with awards and special opportunities provided by our sponsors and community partners.
Beyond the competition, the showcase provides an opportunity for educators, students, developers, designers, content creators, and WordPress enthusiasts to network, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and discover how open-source technology can improve education and strengthen digital skills.
